It’s come to the attention of many gamers out there, that the newly registered domain name supermario4.com, which instantly redirects you to Nintendo’s site, could mean big things for our favorite plumber.Back on April 3rd Nintendo registered the site and hasn’t denied any connection yet.
Now whether they are simply trying to protect the domain name or are unintentionally revealing the next Super Mario game is unknown yet. The third possibility is that it’s the upcoming Mario title for the 3DS which Nintendo President Saruto Iwata spoke of last January. Details were scarce but Nintendo did describe it as a 2-D Mario adventure. Yes I said a 2-D game on a 3-D system.
These suspicions could be entirely off though. Super Mario 4 could very well be a launch title for the Wii U. It’s been an odd 24 years “off” for Mario but it seems that he’ll finally be continuing his journeys about the Mushroom Kingdom some time soon.
