Humans have always had an urge to go fast. Speed is in our blood. The ability to take risks and putting our lives on the line is what makes us all humans. To go faster than the eye can see and be able to push the limits of human possibility. It is amazing to see how far engineering has come and what it can produce. For example, sports cars today are so advance that the car might as well drive itself. The ability to go from 0-60 in less than 2 seconds and the fact that most of these cars produced are street legal, blows my mind. However, unless you are incredibly wealthy and or have secret access to these types of sports cars, there is no chance you will be able to experience this form of rush. But with sorrowful news there is good news. The gaming gods from above have blessed us all with a game called Forza Motorsport 4. Now, as a Forza fan, Forza 4 is the the 4th installment within the franchise. It has made vast improvements in quality and the amount of features produced in the game. The most technological improvement that Turn 10 has incorporated into Forza 4 is the compatibility with Kinect. Gamers can now race freely and without any form of controller. For casual gamers, the Kinect will allow the player to actually create the feeling of steering a Ferrari 458 or a Lamborghini Gallardo. However, Forza 4 will still be controller compatible. For all you hardcore gamers out there, Turn 10 still allows you to hook up your steering wheel for a more realistic feel. What I personally love about Forza 4 is the expansive variety of cars offered. There are more car companies listed than any other Forza game, and there is different forms of races involving truck and suv’s. Multiplayer has also been brought back in a more expansive form. Races within multiplayer range from circuit racing to drag racing. After my experience with Forza 4 for months now, I have noticed one big addition to the game. Turn 10 has done a great job of creating a community within the Forza franchise. In previous games, many of the players that played would never interact with each other and share thoughts based on their love for cars. Forza 4 now has a section labeled “Community” where players from around the world can create car clubs, clans, as well as share and gift cars to fellow gamers. Overall, with Forza 4 on the market, the gaming community has sparked more of an interest for racing games. Turn 10 has done a great job in producing a quality game that is enjoyable for all ages and all gamers. I personally would give the game an 8.8/10. Forza Motorsport is a guarantee must get if you are in the market for a new racing game for the Xbox 360. Leave a comment below on what you think of Forza 4 and if you enjoyed your experience with it. I would love to hear from you.
